Moving Woes

This is the sketch of a painting I did for my illustration class. The idea behind it is how much packing up and moving wears ya out! After your done, your all sweaty, and sore from picking up heavy boxes and your brain is tired from trying to remember everything and packing it into the moving van is like a 3d puzzle nightmare. I actually like my sketch better than the finished painting. Funny how that works out sometimes. ...

Study

This is from a figure drawing class from about a year ago. Its not super detailed, but I like the gesture of it. I wish my school could get models older than 20, but maybe I'll be really good at super heroes as a result?

Watermelonseeditis

My Grandpa told my mom and older sisters that if you ate watermelon seeds, It'd grow out your ears. I haven't finished painting it yet.

Swamp Creature

This is just the pen drawing. The process to get here was a little rough, but after doing some flamingo and swamp studies I got it together. I'm pretty darn happy with it.

Zeppelin

I really enjoy zeppelins, dirigibles, and hot air balloons. I like drawing them more than any other vehicle. This is done in ink on coldpress. I've fallen love with inkwells and pens. My hero is Peter De Seve who is a master with ink.

Dancing

I had fun painting this gal. I did it first as a sketch, then with some tracing paper painted it. Thank goodness for photoshop to edit out the wrinkles. I don't know what her story is yet, but its in the works.

Little Baby Moses

I illustrated this for the sunbeams(4 year olds) in my class for Sunday. They really enjoyed it. They had me read the poem that went with it at least four times. It was nice to have them appreciate my image so readily.
