Dreads all Done!

It's still scratchy, but I'm still learning. I want to use other brushes and textures, but I'm a bit chicken. I'd love advice from you digital mavens. What textures and brushes do you recommend?? Thanks!

Some Digital Painting.

Sooo..... yeah. I'm trying to do people. Are you all completely shocked???? I am. I look at other peoples art all day. Some bad some good. I feel like I can hardly criticize when I'm not even trying myself! So here is an attempt at a person. I'd love color help. Critiques welcome!

Late Night Work

I did a doodle of squash in Relief Society Meeting (Class at church for just the ladies, for those of you who aren't Mormon). It came in handy for this Poster I threw together. It supposed to be just a reminder, and not particularly informative. Its not the best work of my career, but I'm happy enough with it at 1:30 am to call it good. Yay for deadlines!

Ps to my illustrator friends. I got a job at an art gallery and I'm still drawing. I'll post my traditional stuff.......eventually. I really need a scanner.....

The Poster Experiment Continues....

I'm assuming that most of the people who look at my blog are classmates, who know I graduated in illustration, not graphic design. So those of you with graphic design backgrounds, please be gentle (aka Emily and Trevor, who are freaking amazing). This is sooo not my forte, but I am enjoying the experiment anyway. Luckily for me, most people at church are easily impressed.

Temple Poster

So I've been outed at church. I've been called to create posters to inform and invite people to stuff. This is for Stake Temple Week. Nothing fancy. My budget is $5.oo thus the black and white. They panicked out when I suggested it might cost $15.oo or less in printing.
